We place the voice of the child at the centre of our work, and take a child rights based approach to refugee and migration issues. The MiCLU legal team at Islington Law Centre have 17 years of experience of providing specialist legal advice and representation for young asylum seekers and undocumented children and young people, and are recognised as experts in this work. MiCLU is based at Islington Law Centre which embeds the work in a social welfare environment, at a Law Centre which has a particular focus on strategic litigation, legal education and the needs of young people and Migrant Communities. Specialist projects including the Migrants’ Law Project and StreetLegal are also hosted at ILC, providing an atmosphere in which the rights of migrant communities and young people are at the fore.
