HCLC’s provides help and assistance to people in the London Borough of Hackney and surrounding areas, particularly people experiencing hardship in their daily life through lack of sufficient income to support themselves and their families. We assist people by providing information, advice, and more active legal help through casework and representation if necessary. We have an excellent expert staff team practicing all areas of social welfare law.

Who we are?

Hackney Community Law Centre has been operating for nearly forty years in Hackney providing specialist social welfare advice in the areas of housing, employment, debt, welfare benefits and immigration & asylum. We are committed to achieving access to justice and promoting a more socially inclusive society for all by providing first class legal advice. Our priority is always to clearly understand the needs of our clients.

The Law Centre is organised into 4 areas:
